Arthur C. Clarke Award winners exemplify the broad expanse of work of Sir Arthur.

THE ARTHUR C. CLARKE AWARDS
To celebrate Arthur C. Clarke’s unique life and accomplishments, promote the power of imagination paired with rigorous application of expertise, and to recognize those who have epitomized these characteristics for society’s benefit, the Foundation has established the Arthur C. Clarke Awards as a signature part of its Unleash Imagination – Shape the Future initiatives.  The Awards recognize individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the fields of technology, the sciences, and arts.  The Foundation usually presents three awards.

The Arthur C. Clarke Lifetime Achievement Award
This award recognizes:  Imaginative thinking leading to Initiatives, inventions, scientific discovery, or other creative endeavors in science, technology and the arts that have had extended positive or hold particular promise for society.

The Arthur C. Clarke Innovator Award
This award recognizes an individual, a group or an entity that exemplifies the values and accomplishments of Sir Arthur’s life through innovative achievements advancing science, technology or the arts in meeting challenges of contemporary life or the needs of tomorrow.  

The Arthur C. Clarke Imagination Award
This award is given to someone for creativity in the arts, education, technology, or another endeavor that sparks broader societal imagination and creativity and inspires exploration, greater understanding of each other and our universe, or leads to new avenues of thought, endeavor, and positive action. This awardee would have, like Arthur C. Clarke, used their skills to help us all imagine technology and the future in new ways.
