Tedson MeyersTedson J. Meyers was a Washington, D.C. telecommunications attorney with Peabody, Lambert & Meyers, now retired, well-known for his work in satellite and international telecommunications. The first attorney to be elected President of the International Council for Computer Communication, Mr. Meyers is also an Honorary Academician of the International Telecommunication Academy of Russia, an arm of the Russian Academy of Science. In addition to his leadership role in ACCF, Mr. Meyers chairs the American Bar Association effort to expand the services of the Law Library of Congress, and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. A holder of the U.S. Secretary of the Army’s Public Service Medal, he is also an Adjunct Professor of Communication at San Diego State University. Mr. Meyers served as Assistant to the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission; Assistant to the Director of the Peace Corps; and as a member of the Washington, D.C. City Council, appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by the Senate. A former President of Washington, D.C.’s Cosmos Club, he also served as a Company Commander, First Marine Division, Korea, Mr. Meyers is a graduate of the Harvard Law School where he was Founding President of the Harvard Legislative Research Bureau. He now resides in Fairhope, Alabama.
